Dit najaar haalt Richter Theaterproducties het door Jon Brittain geschreven, baanbrekende Engelstalige toneelstuk ROTTERDAM naar Nederland met een Londense cast. Het is Oudjaarsdag in Rotterdam, en Alice heeft eindelijk de moed bij elkaar geraapt om haar ouders te mailen en te vertellen dat zij gay is. Maar voordat zij op verzenden kan drukken onthult haar vriendin dat hij zich altijd geïdentificeerd heeft als een man en nu ook zo wil gaan leven.

Rotterdam zorgde op het Londense West End en op Broadway voor uitverkochte zalen en lovende kritieken. De productie werd in 2017 bekroond met een Olivier Award.

This autumn, Richter Theaterproducties is bringing the groundbreaking play ROTTERDAM, written by Jon Brittain, to the Netherlands with a London cast.

It’s New Year in Rotterdam, and Alice has finally plucked up the courage to email her parents and tell them she’s gay. But before she can hit send, her girlfriend reveals that he has always identified as a man and now wants to start living as one. Now Alice must face a question she never thought she’d ask . . . does this mean she’s straight? A bittersweet comedy about gender, sexuality and being a long way from home.

After the very successful runs on both Broadway and the West End, this bittersweet comedy is now brought to the Netherlands by Richter Theater productions with a London cast.
